As long as I can remember I have been painting trees. They are going to continue to be a staple and separate body of my work. Living in New Mexico I fell in love with the large organism of the aspen trees and was fascinated by them ever since. The brilliant, golden fall color leaves against the ultra blue New Mexico sky are provoking a notion of awe.

The straight trunks reflect a linear, vertical pattern that creates the striped veil obscuring the background.
